white_square_with_question_markSo I’ve been thinkin’ – I know, it can be dangerous. I’ve been thinking about the things I write about, the things I never get around to writing about, the amount of time I spend writing, the amount of time I SHOULD spend writing and how to balance all those things out.

Whenever I get into a time crunch, I often end up just participating in a few carnivals (throw up a menu, a tackle and a wfmw tip) and that’s it. If I do that too often I feel like I’ve turned my blog into fluff – nothing thought provoking or entertaining. It would be a lot easier for me to write “real” articles if I just wrote them instead of the fluffy posts, but then I think there’s a balance there, too. Light-hearted fluff posts are good, too. Besides, they keep bringing in new people to meet. ; )

So I go roundy roundy in my brain about how I want to balance these and how I want to shape the content output on my blog.

I mean, yeah, it’s my blog, I can write what I want to write. But if I get boring then it’s going to be a whole let less fun for you and me both. ; )

So it got me to wondering what’s going on in the minds of my readers. So won’t you tell me? I’d love it if you answered a few polls for me, but you can also leave a comment if you want to give more input. I think it would help me with some decisions if I knew more about y’all – don’t you think?

For Poll#1, tell me, of all the regular things I participate in, which ones do you enjoy reading here at my blog?

For Poll #2: Suppose I got really good at managing my time and sticking to my schedule, and posted several things a day — but probably for different catgories. Say on a Monday I posted my menu plan, some homeschool links and a funny story about my kids. Your feed reader (or email inbox) is probably full so I hesitate to throw too much at you, it seems sorta selfish. So tell me…

And finally, and you don’t have to answer this one but after all, it IS anonymous! 🙂
I’m curious to see what my readership looks like. Maybe you aren’t ALL 30-ish housewives with three kids. ; )

Thanks so much, y’all! You have no idea how much this will help me. You’re the bestest. 🙂

Hey, y’all! I'm Amber, and I wear many hats: Pastor's wife, marriage advocate, eclectic homeschooler, mother of three, and domestically challenged homemaker--lovin’ life and livin’ deep in the heart of Texas.
I love to write and I hope to use that wisely, to encourage others, and for God’s glory. I seek purpose in the mundane. I want my kids to see God’s fingerprints throughout all of creation, learning, and life. As I teach our children, God is teaching me through this homeschool journey, too. I love Jesus, family, coffee, words, and the color teal.
