Woo-hoo! It’s week two! Y’all still with me?

The Eating

This week I did a better job moderating what I was eating. One major thing I improved this week was my intake of raw vegetables. I had a salad with one of my meals almost every day (until I ran out of salad fixings.) 😛 I also included fresh fruits, at least half of them citrus so I could get my dose of vitamin C. On the other hand, one thing I really need to work on for next week is making sure I drink enough water and not too much sweet tea 😉

This week I stopped counting Weight Watcher points because the battery in my WW calculator died. 🙁 I did keep an eye on calories but I didn’t count them strictly. Mostly I exercised good judgment when assembling meals and putting food on my plate. I even indulged in homemade tortillas, homemade pizza, homemade soft pretzels, homemade bagels and homemade crackers. (Notice a trend here? I’m a BREAD person.) The key: Moderation.

The Exercising

Okay, confession time: – I only did a little exercise last week. That’s better than the previous week! I didn’t actually use any of my exercise videos, but I did grab 5 minutes here and 5 minutes there to do some floor exercises that I saw on The Biggest Loser. 😉 They’d get my heart rate going, and then I’d continue with the house cleaning while trying to stay busy and moving. On the other hand, we had an active weekend, between manning a yard sale and walking around for a few hours at a Pumpkin Fest. Surely that had to burn SOME calories – right?

The Weigh-In

My official weigh-in this morning? 176 lbs. Down 2 pounds. (It might have been 175 – down three! It’s kind of hard to tell on my old spring scale…) I may not be able to see exact numbers, but if the scale keeps going down – that’s good enough for me! 🙂

Amber

Hey, y’all! I’m Amber and I wear many hats. I drink a ton of coffee and I’m constantly sweeping crumbs off the floor. After 18 years of homeschooling, I’m getting close to graduating my third child and now we are starting over at preschool with our fourth, Lil Miss Mouse. She keeps us young and she’s the main reason for my excessive coffee consumption. Drink up!
