Why I Homeschool
Welcome, new visitor! Come on in. The Classic Housewife is currently undergoing some back end changes. In the meantime I'm re-posting some oldies and goodies. You may also want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
Homeschooling is a deep heartfelt conviction for me. I certainly don’t do it because I’m the greatest homeschooler in the world. I’m not.
I homeschool because God has laid this on my heart as the way to raise and train my children. I want to be very deeply involved in the raising of my children, and have as much time with them as possible. I want to teach them about God and the world around them as they learn about math and reading. I want to be the bigger influence in their lives during this crucial period of development instead of a teacher or friend or someone else.
I don’t judge others who school their children differently and I don’t mind those who judge me. Different things work for different people. God calls each of us to different challenges.
Homeschooling is one of the hardest things I have ever done. But it’s certainly worth every effort, setback, trial and victory.
