“Dear God, I hope you are having a good night…”
~Drama Queen, age 7
I enjoy listening to my six year old pray and to how she says things. While the most endearing part was definitely when she told God how much she loved him because he gave us the world and everything and added, “X-O-X-O,” this was probably my favorite “funny” line:
“I love life, because it’s FUN, and um, my mom helps me sometimes.”
Ideally, I would have written something since last Monday’s Funny Church Sign post, but, well… *ahem* – It is without further ado that I give you this week’s Funny Church Sign (though I consider this one more of an encouragement and slightly amusing rather than laugh out loud funny.)

Have a blessed week!
Drama Queen:
“Dear God…And help the dogs and the cats and the lions and the giraffes and the zebras feel better when they go to the vet.”
(?)
To be fair the rest of the prayer very sincere and sweet and heartfelt. I guess I just never thought of praying for all the cats’ and dogs’ and lions’ and zebras’ and giraffes’ vet visits before.
All smirking aside, I have noticed a shift in her praying, that she’s praying more for others. Even if it does include lions and zebras and giraffes. Makes my heart melt.
I know this may sound a bit odd coming from a girly girl like me… but I actually quite enjoy the Star Wars movies. Especially the newer three. So of course when they came on last weekend, I recorded them on our DVR. And when the next three come on this weeked? I’ll DVR those too.
Now, I know, I know, I KNOW that all analogies break down,… and I’m not really sure how far you can take this one before it falls to pieces… but as Princess and I were watching Revenge of the Sith, I seized the teachable moment to analyze how the dark side is like sin.
I don’t know if it’s intentional (which I doubt), or just really convenient (probably), but think about it.
On the other hand:
Just a few verses:
So I guess you really can make a teachable moment out of just about anything.
