Thankful Thursday – Help With The Hard Days
Today, Iris’ scripture reference is Matthew 11:28-30.
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
What a perfect reminder for me today. Today has been a difficult day. But GO TO HIM. HE WILL GIVE REST.
Today I’m thankful that God sustains me, even through the difficult days. That even when I don’t have it within myself to put one foot in front of the other and get things done, even when I’d rather crawl under the covers until tomorrow, God will carry me through.
I’m thankful that when I feel overwhelmed, I can feel His hand on my shoulder, letting me know that I’m not alone.
I’m thankful that when I lose my temper, He is forgiving and teaches me to learn from my mistakes and enables me to keep my temper in check a little bit longer the next time.
I’m thankful that no matter what I am going through, God will know exactly what I need and when I need it.
